Philadelphia Society for Creation Science

Rev. Rick Faison has been saved for 43 years and loves the Lord, His Word and serving God’s people.

 

He is a highly decorated, retired veteran of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard’s 111th Fighter Group Command Post.  Rick’s distinguished career as a citizen soldier includes Airman of the Year twice, Meritorious Service Ribbon three times, Air Force Achievement Medal and citations from the Adjutant General of the State of PA and the government of Kuwait.  He served his country as a non‑commissioned officer in charge of training here in the United States and as an air operations specialist in Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait during Desert Storm and Operation Southern Watch.

 

Rick is the former Director of Enrollment Management, Director of the Counseling Ministry and an Adjunct Faculty Instructor for the Geneva College Philadelphia campus, Center for Urban Theological Studies.  Rick is a graduate of Geneva College at C.U.T.S. where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Ministry Leadership, graduating with Highest Distinction and receiving Highest Honors for his educational research project in Creation Science.  Rick serves the Lancaster Bible Colleges’ iLead Program, the New Life Bible Institute & Missionary Training School of Beulah Baptist Church and the Church Bible Institute at Christian Stronghold Baptist Church as an instructor.  Rick is a 2010 graduate of the National Aeronautic Space Administration (NASA) U.S. Space & Rocket Center Space Academy for Educators.  He is also a 2012 member of the eight-day Grand Canyon Wilderness Study Expedition for international Christian leaders.

 

Rick is President and co‑founder of The Philadelphia Society for Creation Science (PSCS Ministries). PSCS Ministries is a ministry partner and friend of Answers in Genesis Ministries and the Institute for Creation Research.  Rick served two terms as President of the Board of Directors for Timothy Academy. He is a former Executive Board member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, as well as a member of the Philadelphia Association of Christian Schools.  Rick is a charter member of the National Biblical Counselors Association. He has served his local community as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Olive Community Improvement Association.

 

Rick is a national & international seminar speaker on Creation Science, and S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering & math); a Biblical counselor, a Sunday School teacher and former Superintendent, and is a member of the Christian Stronghold Church of Philadelphia Mighty Men Hall of Fame.

 

Rick has given leadership to organizations such as director of Congregational Relations at Bethany Christian Services; and director of S.A.Y. Yes, a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ.

 

Rick conducts a global apologetic ministry on Facebook called ‘The Defenders.  He is married to Vicki Faison, vice‑president and co‑founder of PSCS Ministries.  They are the parents of three adult children, Bobby, Sam, and Elaina; a daughter-in-law, Rhodah, and three grandchildren:  Christopher, Christen, and Christie.
